Editorial policy
What we cover
Air purifiers, portable and window air conditioners, dehumidifiers, space heaters, humidifiers and fans — the appliances that change the air in a room, and the filters and accessories that go with them.
How pages are made
AirIndoors is a data-driven publication. Pages are assembled from our own price history and normalized specification data by an automated editorial system, and reviewed by a human before publication. We think that's a better description than pretending each page is hand-typed, and a more honest one than not mentioning it.
Standards every page has to meet before it goes live
- It has to contain real specification data rather than description.
- Every numeric claim has to trace to a data row we hold — if the underlying data isn't there, the number doesn't get published.
- It has to name what it doesn't know.
- It makes no health claim of its own. Public-health advice is quoted and attributed, never paraphrased into a promise.
Pages that fail these checks are held, not published.
Updates
Pages are revised when prices move or specifications change, and each revision is dated and logged on the page. We'd rather maintain fifty accurate pages than publish five hundred stale ones.
Independence
No manufacturer, retailer or affiliate network sees a page before it publishes, or has any input into what it says.
